David F. Carr

David F. Carr is a writer, editor, and digital impresario. He has created websites for small businesses, nonprofits, and political campaigns, as well as his own ventures, but he is best known as a writer and editor.

David is the author of Social Collaboration for Dummies and was formerly the lead editor covering social software and new modes of online collaboration for InformationWeek. He has been writing about digital business trends since he was at WebWeek and Internet World in the mid-1990s and currently blogs for Forbes. David has also been a keynote speaker at technology conferences in Berlin and Stockholm, as well as appearing at events closer to his Florida home.

David is the creator of a number of WordPress plugins, most notably RSVPMaker for event scheduling and registrations, and is the founder of the WordPress for Toastmasters project. He recently started the Online Presenters Toastmasters club, which meets online and focuses on skills needed for webinars and online meetings.
